BPM Entertainment Ltd, a wholly owned company, is engaged in the ownership, development and commercial utilization of entertainment content.
Tim has spent all his career working within the music entertainment industry and before starting up BPM was in New York as Chief Operating Office for Sony BMG Music Entertainment where he had overall responsibility for turnover in excess of $3.5 billion and profits of $380 million.
He has always been a champion for change within the music industry and was the leader of significant change during his long career with Sony, BMG and Universal.
Tim, who is a lawyer, started his career with CBS records (now Sony Music) in Business Affairs and went to the US in the early Eighties to run Sony Music’s Publishing Division.
In 1986 he returned to the UK to head up Sony’s record label, Columbia Records.
In 1994 he went to Universal Music International where he was closely involved in the international merger with Polygram. During his time with the company he had various key international responsibilities including Business Development, New Media, Artist Marketing and the company’s internet operations.
In 2002 he joined BMG where he initially headed up BMG’s European operations and then became Chairman of BMG UK where he was responsible with Simon Cowell for setting up the hugely successful TV production company Syco Productions.
Following the merger, Tim was responsible for the International merger between BMG and Sony Music, and in 2006 he was appointed COO SonyBMG worldwide.
After his initial success as a writer and musician in the million selling act ‘‘The Chimes’ Mike Peden went on to become not only one of Europe’s foremost and in demand record producers, but also to achieve great success as an A&R man.
Having been responsible for multi-million selling albums ‘‘Ocean Drive and Postcards from Heaven’’ by The Lighthouse Family and ‘‘Supernatural’’ by Des’ree, Mike achieved his first Brits nomination with the album ‘‘What Silence Knows’’ by Massive Attack’s featured vocalist Shara Nelson.
During his stints as A&R Director of Jive Records and Senior A&R Director of Warner Music (UK), Mike worked closely with artists such as REM, Madonna, Cher, Billy Ocean, The Backstreet Boys and Tribe Called Quest, all of whom benefited from his ability to combine the creative process with his sound management qualities.
Examples of other artists who have been pleased to work with Mike over the years are: Daryl Hall, David Bowie, Smoke City, Mica Paris, Emma Bunton, Seal, Yo-Yo Honey, Liberty X, Gareth Gates, Rachel Stevens, Lucie Silvas, Protocol, Delta Goodrem, Estelle, Will Young and Shakria who have all at some time requested Mike’s unique production abilities to help with their music.
Hannah trained and qualified as a solicitor into the Company Commercial department at Clintons Solicitors, one of the UK’s foremost entertainment law firms.
In March 2008 Hannah left Clintons and spent 6 months in New York as project manager for a British publishing company putting together a photographic book based on a historic apartment building in New York.
On returning to London in September 2008 Hannah joined All Our Business, a niche, legal and business consultancy, operating in the entertainment, fashion, sport and leisure sectors as Business Affairs advisor. During her time at AOB Hannah was involved in many exciting projects such as the World Freerunning Championships held in London’s Trafalgar Square in the Summer of 2009 and assisting the Head of Business Affairs at West One Music, a successful music licensing company based in London’s West End.
It was whilst at AOB that Hannah was seconded to BPM and subsequently left AOB to take up a permanent position in September 2009.
